Trading fees
Trading fees come in two kinds: taker and maker.
- Taker — an order that immediately takes liquidity from the order book, like a market order
- Maker — an order that adds liquidity to the order book, like a limit order
| Type | Fee |
|---|---|
| Taker | 0.045% |
| Maker | 0.015% |
| Tenbagger builder fee | 0.05% |
Example: a $1,000 market buy costs $0.45 taker fee + $0.50 builder fee = $0.95 total
Fee discounts
Volume discounts (Tier 1–6)
Fees step down based on your 14-day cumulative trading volume. The more you trade, the lower your fees.
HYPE staking discount
Staking HYPE tokens grants an additional fee discount — up to 40% depending on the amount staked.
💡 For the latest discount tiers and staking requirements, see the official Hyperliquid docs.
