Trading fees

Trading fees come in two kinds: taker and maker.

  • Taker — an order that immediately takes liquidity from the order book, like a market order
  • Maker — an order that adds liquidity to the order book, like a limit order
TypeFee
Taker0.045%
Maker0.015%
Tenbagger builder fee0.05%

Example: a $1,000 market buy costs $0.45 taker fee + $0.50 builder fee = $0.95 total

Fee discounts

Volume discounts (Tier 1–6)

Fees step down based on your 14-day cumulative trading volume. The more you trade, the lower your fees.

HYPE staking discount

Staking HYPE tokens grants an additional fee discount — up to 40% depending on the amount staked.

💡 For the latest discount tiers and staking requirements, see the official Hyperliquid docs.
